Part 1: High-End Desert & Mountain Living (Northeast Mesa)
If you love the outdoors, want to be close to hiking trails, and prefer dramatic desert landscapes over flat suburban streets, the Northeast corner of Mesa is your zone. I like these close to the mountains, hiking, and the lakes.
1. Las Sendas
A premier, award-winning master-planned community tucked right up against the Tonto National Forest. Las Sendas is renowned for its dramatic desert topography, championship golf course, and breathtaking city light views in the evening. It feels like a private desert retreat, yet it sits just minutes from the Loop 202.
2. Mountain Bridge
A resort-style luxury community that stands out immediately because of its striking Old World Mediterranean architecture. You drive in under a signature rustic stone bridge, and the high-end community amenities here make the entire neighborhood feel like an everyday vacation resort.
3. Red Mountain Ranch
A beautifully established, scenic country club community built around a premier Pete Dye-designed golf course. It is highly sought after for its rolling hills, custom estates, and fantastic proximity to highly rated schools, making it a favorite for both families and golf enthusiasts.
4. Boulder Mountain
If you want something that feels private, quiet, and rugged, look at Boulder Mountain. This is a prestigious neighborhood offering custom homes on large, private lots. For those who want golf course living without the luxury price tag, Augusta Ranch is a phenomenal choice. It's a lively, family-oriented golf community featuring highly attainable homes, top-rated schools, and an incredibly active neighborhood association that hosts regular community events.
11. Superstition Springs

Quiet and a bit away from it all.
