Women are stepping into real estate with courage and focus. We are no longer waiting for the perfect time or the perfect situation to start investing. The truth is, you do not need to have it all figured out before you take the first step. You simply need to start. Real estate has become my path to financial freedom, and my mission is to show other women that they can do the same.
In my recent conversation with Andrea Gordon on the REalizations Podcast, I shared how I built my business, the lessons I learned along the way, and why empowering women through real estate has become my greatest calling.
A Career That Began in a Different World
Before selling homes, I managed a busy medical practice, always on call with no time for myself. This taught me leadership, but I craved freedom and balance. In 2018, I ventured into real estate, selling nothing that year and just one home in 2019. Persistence through hosting open houses and meeting people was the turning point, laying the foundation for my future success.
Creating FemmeVestor and Finding My Purpose
FemmeVestor was born from a realization. Nearly 90 percent of real estate investors are men. I wanted to change that.
Over time, I started meeting incredible women who were quietly building portfolios and changing their lives, yet their stories were not being told. One client in particular inspired me deeply. She and her husband had built a portfolio of 15 properties across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. When her husband passed away, I helped her sell those properties and secure her financial future. Watching her retire with confidence reminded me that real estate is not just about money. It is about independence, security, and control.
Today, FemmeVestor helps women learn to invest, grow their wealth, and create the kind of stability that lasts a lifetime.
How My Team Makes It Work
Behind every strong business is a great team. I work with two dedicated agents, a full-time transaction manager, and an admin who keeps everything running from behind the scenes. My team handles contracts, marketing, and database management so that I can focus on what matters most — helping women invest confidently.
We are not just closing deals. We are building futures, one transaction at a time.
My Favorite Real Estate Strategy
My favorite strategy is simple but powerful. I teach clients to turn their current low-interest homes into rental properties and use the equity to buy their next home.
Here is how it works:
- Keep your existing home if it has a great rate
- Turn it into a rental to build passive income
- Use its equity to finance your next property
This “buy, move, rent, repeat” approach helps women grow their portfolios without taking unnecessary risks. The key is to start where you are and use what you have. Real estate rewards action, not hesitation.
The Arizona Market: Opportunity and Growth

Arizona has become one of the most exciting real estate markets in the country. Our median home price is around $440,000, and homes in the outskirts sell between $330,000 and $399,000. For investors, this means there are still affordable opportunities that deliver strong returns.
Rents remain healthy too. A 1,300-square-foot home typically rents for $2,000 to $2,500 a month. Multifamily properties are in high demand, but prices can soar above $700,000 for duplexes in top cities like Gilbert.
My team is currently on track to close 60 transactions this year, and that success comes from consistency and community.
My conversation with Andrea reminded me of how important real estate podcast production can be. It provides women with a platform to learn, connect, and take control of their financial journey.
Leadership Built on Empathy and Action
My degree in Organizational Leadership from Arizona State University taught me something essential: leadership is about people. I apply that every day in my business.
To me, being a good leader means:
- Staying engaged and caring deeply about your team.
- Leading by example and staying active in your business.
- Committing to lifelong learning.
- Treating every person in a transaction with respect.
- Adjusting your style to fit the person in front of you.
I believe that leadership and real estate go hand in hand. When you lead with empathy, you create trust. When you act with integrity, you create results.
Coaching, Growth, and Authenticity
I work with Jen Dillard, a coach who challenges me to be my best. She reminds me that growth often happens in the moments that make us uncomfortable. Recently, she told me to stop using filters on social media — to show up as myself. That small change taught me to value authenticity more than perfection.
Accountability matters. It keeps us sharp. I have learned that personal development is just as important as business development. When you work on yourself, everything else improves.
Financial Education for Every Woman
Financial literacy is the foundation of freedom. I believe it should be taught in every high school. Too many people enter adulthood without understanding credit, loans, or investments.
Women, in particular, have been excluded from financial systems for far too long. We only gained access to credit cards and mortgages in 1974. That is within living memory.
It is time to change that. Women should talk about money the way men talk about golf. We should be discussing investments, returns, and retirement plans openly. Through FemmeVestor, I am building that space — a community where women invest with confidence and lift each other up.
What Life Looks Like Beyond Real Estate
Outside of real estate, I am a mother of three. My oldest son works with me as an agent, my second is an insurance adjuster, and my youngest is a chef. I am proud of each of them.
I also love paddleboarding on Arizona’s rivers and lakes. Being outdoors clears my mind and reminds me why I do this work — to build a life full of freedom, balance, and purpose.
